Starting April 1, 2018, trucks must have a 2007 engine or newer or equivalent emissions control retrofits to access the NWSA international container terminals. If your truck does not meet the requirements, you must apply for a Temporary Access Pass by March 31, 2018.

Enrolling in the Temporary Access Pass will allow truckers extra time to purchase a compliant truck. You can fill out the application online or in person at our Clean Truck Program office in Seattle and Tacoma. It will take about 30 minutes to fill out the form. Passes will be distributed beginning March 22, 2018.

Once you are enrolled in the Temporary Access Pass and receive a new orange sticker (one per non-compliant truck), you will be allowed temporary access through Dec. 31, 2018. If you do not have a compliant truck starting Jan. 1, 2019, you will no longer be able to access NWSA international container terminals.

Things to bring to enroll in person:

  • - Vehicle registration or title for your truck
  • - RFID tag number

Both locations will be available Monday, March 5, through Saturday, March 31:

  • Monday–Friday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to noon
