Effective Oct. 28: Appointments mandatory at PCT

Effective Monday, Oct. 28, appointments will be mandatory at Pierce County Terminal in Tacoma.

• Limited same-day appointments will be available for all transactions going forward.
• Same-day appointments will be spread throughout the shift hours.
• Thirty minutes prior to the start of each hour appointments will lockout for the upcoming hour.
• If your transaction requires an appointment but you do not have an appointment, you will receive a trouble ticket and be asked to exit the terminal. The queue lot will be open to allow truckers to park and contact their dispatchers to create an appointment.

• Appointment slots will open 7 days in advance (subject to change).
• Limited same-day appointments will be available each hour. Please see the below reference table.
• Appointments will be for one-hour slots with 30-minute grace periods on each end of the hour. (Each appointment is valid for two hours when including grace period.)
