Reminder: Husky, OCT access has changed during road construction

Tacoma's Husky and Olympic Container terminals saw unusually high volumes Thursday following the Veterans Day holiday. Additional congestion resulted when drivers didn't follow the truck routes to the terminal staging areas. 

Truck drivers are reminded that during the reconstruction of Port of Tacoma Road, traffic patterns have changed to access Husky and OCT:

• Staging area: Trucks for both terminals stage on East 11th Street and in the Overflow Staging Area at the corner of Thorne Road and East 11th Street. Staging is not allowed on Port of Tacoma Road. 
• Truck route: Drivers should follow the routes marked in this flier to reach the staging areas to keep traffic moving and everyone safe.
