Everport Terminal Services notified drivers and dispatchers of the enforcement effort in an email earlier today:
Due to an increased influx of truckers showing up at Pierce County Terminal’s gate causing traffic safety issues on SR 509 in the mornings, PCT will be strictly enforcing all appointments (import, export, and empties) starting April 27. 2020. Please make sure you have an appointment before arriving at our gates. Appointments will be valid one hour prior to the appointment time slot. Please do not arrive any earlier so that others with appointments for that time are able to make their time slots. Anyone who arrives without an appointment will have to make an appointment for a later time and come back during the scheduled appointment.
