Seahawks game expected to cause congestion Oct. 5 near Century Link field

Notice from the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) about Monday Night Football:

On Monday,  Oct. 5, Century Link Field will host a Monday Night Football game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Detroit Lions. 

The game begins at 5:30 p.m. (PST) but prior to that, SDOT expects the roadways to experience varying degrees of congestion around the stadium. 

• At 1:30 p.m., Occidental Ave. will close between King Street and Royal Brougham
• At 2:30 p.m., Seattle Police will begin controlling various lanes and intersections along 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue north of Century Link Field

‘Tailgating’ is expected in the area, so parking may be limited throughout the day.
