The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.
This week's highlights:
- Oct. 11 - 14: Borealis - Festival of lights at Lake Union Park.
- Oct. 12 - 15: SR 99 Southbound will be closed from the south end of the Battery St. tunnel to S. Spokane St., Fri 9 p.m. - Mon 5 a.m.
- Oct. 12 - 15: Rainier Ave S. at I-90 will be closed, Fri 11 p.m. - Mon 5 a.m. Same closure will happen Oct. 19 - 22 & 26 - 29.
- Oct. 12 - 15: NB I-5 will be reduced to 2 lanes from MLK to Olive Way, Fri 8 p.m. - Mon 5 a.m.
- Oct. 13: Puget Sound Heart and Stroke Walk will use streets from Seattle Center to downtown and back Sunday morning.
- Oct. 13 - 14: Alaskan Way will be closed overnight between Railroad Way S. and Wall St. for the permanent traffic lane switch, Sat 8 p.m. - Sun 10 a.m.
- Oct. 19 - 22: SR 99 will be fully closed from the West Seattle Bridge to the Battery St. tunnel, Fri 9 p.m. - Mon 5 a.m.
- Oct. 20: UW Huskies host the Colorado Buffalos at Husky Stadium, kick-off 12:30 p.m.
- Oct. 28: Seattle Sounders host the San Jose Earthquakes at CenturyLink Field, 1:30 p.m.
