The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.

This week's highlights:

Per Governor Jay Inslee's statewide 'Stay Home, Stay Healthy' order and Mayor Jenny A. Durkan's Executive Order, all special events, sporting events, and concerts have been cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled until at least May 31 due to novel coronavirus concerns.

  • April 6 - May 22: S King St. closed westbound from 1st Ave S to Alaskan Way S for a water main installation. 24/7.
  • April 22 - May 22: S Jackson closed between Alaskan Way S and 1st Ave S. 24/7.
  • April 27 - TBD: "Stay Healthy Streets" now covering 23 miles in several Seattle neighborhoods.
  • May 4 - June 5: Paving work on N 50th St. between Phinney Ave N and Roosevelt Way NE.
  • May 18 - 22: Ramp closure: SB I-5 off-ramp to Union St. for maintenance.  Mon - Fri 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • June 19: Full closure of the SR-99 Tunnel. Fri 10 p.m. - Sat 8 a.m.
