The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.
This week's highlights:
Per Governor Jay Inslee's statewide 'Stay Home, Stay Healthy' order and Mayor Jenny A. Durkan's Executive Order, all special events, sporting events, and concerts have been cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled until at least May 31 due to novel coronavirus concerns.
- April 6 - May 12: S King St. closed westbound from 1st Ave S to Alaskan Way S for a water main installation. 24/7.
- April 27 - TBD: "Stay Healthy Streets" now covering nine miles in several Seattle neighborhoods.
- May 1: 6th Ave on-ramp closed to SB I-5. 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.
- May 2 - 4: Full closure of the intersection of 9th Ave and Alder St. for restoration. Sat 8 a.m. - Mon 5:30 a.m.
- May 9 - 11: 1st Ave reduced to one lane in each direction between University St. and Spring St. Sat 6 a.m. - Mon 6 a.m.
