The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.
This week's highlights:
Per Governor Jay Inslee's statewide 'Stay Home, Stay Healthy' order and Mayor Jenny A. Durkan's Executive Order, all special events, sporting events, and concerts have been cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled until at least May 4 due to novel coronavirus concerns.
- March 23 - TBD: The West Seattle High-Rise Bridge is closed until further notice.
- April 6 - May 12: S King St. closed westbound from 1st Ave S to Alaskan Way S for a water main installation. 24/7.
- April 20 - Mid-May: Final striping along 35th Ave SW and SW Alaska St.
- April 24 - 26: Intersection construction at Delridge Way SW, Chelan Ave SW and W Marginal Way SW.
- May 1: 6th Ave on-ramp closed to SB I-5. 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.
- May 2 & 3: 1st Ave reduced to one lane in each direction between University St. and Spring St. Sat & Sun 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- May 8: Full closure of the SR-99 Tunnel for monthly maintenance. Fri 10 p.m. - Sat 8 a.m.
