Terminal 5 will begin to utilize a new TWIC reader system within the next two weeks. All truckers will be required to utilize the TWIC readers at T5 to gain entry starting on Tuesday Feb 15, 2022. This new system allows T5 to process trucks through security faster while maintaining security and Clean Truck Program compliance.
All drivers must enroll into the system during their first use. This initial enrollment takes approximately 1 minute to complete. After the initial enrollment, drivers can leave their TWIC in their holder and utilize the TWIC reader's contactless technology for entry. To allow drivers sufficient time to enroll before 2/15, we will have 2 lanes open as optional enrollment lanes, and the third as a bypass lane for the next two weeks. We would like to encourage the drivers to take time to enroll early over the next two weeks.
