NWSA participates on Finished Vehicle Logistics conference panel
Senior Business Development Manager Andre Elmaleh joined leaders from companies across the finished vehicle supply chain for a discussion of Capacity Management: Working Together to Overcome Disruption as part of the Finished Vehicle Logistics North America 2020: Advance Together webinar event.
Organized by Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solutions and Auto Nation, the program focused on issues important to auto industry original equipment manufacturers (OEM). OEMs such as General Motors Co., Honda, Mazda and Nissan are the key decision-makers in determining the structure and operation of the finished vehicle supply chain.
Elmaleh shared how the NWSA is committed to a diversified business portfolio of which the auto business is a key component. We have 300 acres dedicated to this business between our two auto terminals coupled with multiple piers to ensure vessels have a place to berth and the cargo keeps flowing.
Other topics included opportunities for operational efficiencies in the face of new challenges and changing industry dynamics, contingency planning to minimize catastrophic loss, key drivers for sustainability and more.
