Phase Two of the Terminal 5 Modernization project is currently in the final stages of commissioning. The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) and our partners are looking forward to the full operation of both berths at Terminal 5 upon completion of the commissioning process.

Construction on the Terminal 5 Modernization Project commenced in July 2019, fueled by a joint investment of more than half a billion dollars from NWSA, SSA Terminals (Seattle Terminals), LLC and its partners. This strategic modernization endeavor increases cargo capacity, creates job opportunities in the Puget Sound region, and ensures the NWSA gateway remains competitive in the trans-pacific trade for years to come.
